San Domingos: Muitas Coisas
This week was a blast and a blur!
We had a mission tour with Elder Uceda which means that we had two days of conferência. One in person and one online! He talked about really diving into the scriptures because every word there is important. This was especially significant to me as we have been studying the Book of Mormon as a mission! The scriptures really are such a help and guide in our lives and it is such a joy to share that with others!
My companion and I participated again in the mission choir and this time, I had a lot of fear that it would not go well because we only practiced one time right before and it was not good. But, miracles really do happen, and it went really well!
I had the pleasure of doing divisions with Sister Licurci! This Sister is amazing! She speaks Spanish, English, and Portuguese fluently and it had been a long time since I talked with someone in English for that long. We had such a fun time together.
We had a fun experience when we went to lunch in her area. We arrived and the son of the member was so excited to have us there! He even gave us a little note that he wrote telling us we are doing a great job and he included one real coin in the envelope. (He thinks we are poor... he is right, especially after we had to take a bus and train to arrive there)
Other than that, there was the Batismo de Gabriel this Saturday. The Elders taught him but it was my trainer and me who met him and his grandparents first and invited them to church. It's been a couple months that we have been friends with them and so it was an exciting day to see Gabriel be baptized. I almost cried with joy... almost.
We ate a really good pizza, marked a Baptism date with our friend Alexandre (please pray for him), and walked a TON. But it was a good week and I am excited for this next week. Although I am really tired, but that is what PDay is for!
Until later,
