We spent this week talking with a ton of different people. They all had their own unique problems, opinions, and lives. Some of them wanted to hear more and most of them did not. But on one particular day after a bunch of particularly strange interactions with people I had the thought, "These people are all really different, and God loves them all." I can feel that love that He has as we talk with people. As we invite them to change and to learn more. I know that He loves them because He sent us there. He gives everyone the opportunity to learn the things that will truly make them happy in this life. What an incredibly humbling experience to be used as the Lord's hands here on earth.
My companion and I have been working on teaching lessons that are shorter and more powerful. We have focused especially on the message of the restored gospel. As we have practiced we have become quick to testify of the restored gospel in every lesson and every contact that we do. And as we do this we feel the spirit testify of our words.
I love being a missionary. This week was full of random experiences. One noteable experience was going to visit a woman who solicited to learn more about the gospel. She lives a little far away and when we got there it was in the middle of nowhere. And when we tried to go home, our connection was not working to call Uber. Thankfully the Elders helped us out and we were able to make it home. A strange experience, but I really felt like we were where we needed to be at that moment to bless the lives of these people.
It was really hot, then rained a ton, and then was really cold. But, we are alive and drinking lots of water. The members here are taking great care of us.
