First Week in the CTM: 3 English Elders

 The CTM is awesome! There is so much to be said and not enough words so I am narrowing it down to two experiences.

Both have to do with the infamous Elder Ilg and his two companions. They are learning english, and have been here 7 weeks already. They are so kind and funny, and everybody loves them. They inspire me to want to be a kinder and more uplifting person/missonary. 

Elder Ilg himself is halarious. He has a picture of Russell M. Nelson vaccuming as his lock screen. He tells us repeatedly how much he loves the prophet. I cant replicate the comedic gold that is Elder Ilg but just know he is awesome. He always justifies everything with "this is brazil," or  "I am brazillian." 

Last week their trio taught us a lesson about the Plan of Salvation, and this week a follow up on keeping the commandments. They are incredible. They speak with the power of God and the spirit testifies so strongly of their words. I aspire to be like them and the fact that they are fluent in English after not knowing any when they started gives me hope.

This week I have been thinking a lot about Jesus Christ and his atonement. What a gift it is to be able to changed and be better everyday.

Try this week to be a little more like Jesus.
