Into the Unknown
Well today is the day. My last full day at the CTM. It has been a blast and it is going to be hard to leave my district. But, I am also ready for the opportunity to go to my Mission and everything that entails.
An Elder in our district shared this quote a little ago: "Faith is the power, Obedience is the price, Love is the motive, the Spirit is the key, and Christ is the reason." - James E Faust. I don't think there is a better way to sum up what I have learned in the CTM than this quote right here.
Obedience is a price that has to be payed but it is a price so worth paying.
Whether or not you can speak someone's language, you can love them. Everyone understands that language of love.
Christ is my light, my rock, my everything.
A fun thing that happened this week is my companion and I were going to shower and some people were singing Disney songs. I LOVE Disney songs, but it doesn't always help us focus on the Savior. So, I started singing some hymns quietly. Soon, several other people joined in and we had a choir going on in the shower. A few people later commented on that shower choir and how they were able to feel the Spirit. It was a great moment.
One time that I could not stop laughing this week was the night we had hamburgers for dinner. We sat down to eat and someone said something about a hamburger being a sandwich and the rest was history. We debated, probably for 20 minutes if a burger was a sandwich and it got very heated. Then someone asked is water wet.... It was crazy. Very fun and very funny to sit there and debate these two things.
And so I will leave you all with two questions:
What can you do to make Christ more the focus of your life, especially in the small things?
Is a hamburger a sandwich?
