Sao Domingos: Trust in the Lord
One thing that had been on my mind this week is trusting in the Lord, and trusting in His plan for us. I worry a lot. I like to have things planned, I liked to think things through, and so I spend a lot of time worrying about the people and things in my life. One day this week, I caught my self saying I was worried about something. But I stopped and said, I'm not worried, I know Heavenly Father has a plan. I felt like this weight being lifted and every time I feel myself start to worry I ask myself if I trust in the Lord, and trust in His plan, and the answer is yes!
Everyone loves to talk to me and my companion because we are two Americans and everyone wants to try and speak English with us! One of these people sent us a voice message of him singing the US national anthem. He mixed up some of the words but he really gave his all and that is what counts.
We received money this week for lunch instead of eating with the members and so 3 days this week we ate at this place called Dunkin' Burgers. It is fun to have the routine because we start to see the same people everyday. I think we realized we have to switch when one guy we met showed up out of nowhere on his motorcycle while we were eating just to say hi.
Hi, we're just your "friendly neighborhood americans" 😄
Other fun things:
- we did a blitz
- I tried São Paulo border chocolate pizza for the first time
- one of our Uber drivers who we left a card with messaged us afterwards to learn more about the church
- The mom of a part member family wants me and my companion to marry their 2 sons
- We marked a baptism date 😯
Hope you all are having the best week!!
I will leave you with this quote
" I don't have everything I want but everything I have I like " - Our friend we play tennis with
