Sao Domingos: Transfers

It is crazy to think it is already January, time has really flown! I found out that I will be staying in São Domingos for the next 6 weeks to finish the training of Sister Fernandes!

Tuesday this week was a hard day in which we talked to everyone in the street, walked a lot, knocked doors, and nothing happened! No one wanted to talk to us. We started out Wednesday and it looked like it would be a lot of the same but then we started to see some miracles! Met some really awesome people this week and I know that the Lord has a plan for us that it often different than the plan we have for ourselves!

We had divisions this week and I got to stay in the area with Sister Barbosa! And I love her!!!! She only has one more transfer left and she is absolutely amazing. I learned a lot from her about how to improve my teaching skills and trusting in the Lord always!

Sister Fernandes and I made a big New Years dinner. One blessing that I have seen here on the mission is that the Lord magnifies our cooking efforts as well as our efforts in missionary work. And even though our gas ran out in the middles of cooking we were able to get gas delivered at the last second before everything shut down for the holiday.

Also apparently there were a lot of fireworks for New Years that kept my companion up, but I slept through it 😅

We have one family we are teaching that is so sweet but they were not able to come to church Sunday because their daughter was sick! Please pray for them!!

Love you all, and wishing you all the best year!

Sister Pinkney
