Arvore Grande: Big Tree
"We must trust God and have the full assurance that He has planted us where we will best be tried and tested and where we will best grow and bear good fruit"
This week the Lord has planted me in a new area, called Árvore Grande (Big Tree)/ Granja Olga. I am here with my new companion Sister Oliveira! I absolutely love her, she is an incredible missionary. The thing I love about the mission is that we can have full assurance that the Lord puts us exactly where we need to be and with the people we need to be with. (Super excited to finally be in the same zone as my girl Sister Owens!!!!)
We got here Friday night and we woke up early Saturday morning for an adventure. After just arriving in Sorocaba from the capital, we got to go back to the capital for the day to watch the baptism of Victor. My joy is full!!
And we got back just in time for our ward party. These wards are awesome and they treat us so well, on Sunday we got offered a ride by 5 different families 🤗. I can tell I am going to love it here.
It was a little sad to say goodbye to my old zone, área, and companion. One thing I have come to realize is that every place I pass feels like more than an area, it really feels like home. The mission is incredible for this, and I know I will never forget these places.
This week as we were in Sacrament meeting, something the speaker said really touched me. In truth, all of the speakers responded to things I had been thinking and praying about. And as I realized this I felt as if the Lord was there with me saying "I am here." I know that the Lord is with us, in our joy and in our pain. He will not leave us.
I know that each and every one of you are were you are for a reason, where you will be tried and tested, and where you will grow. Let the Lord help you change, and help you grow into the Árvore Grande (Big tree) that He knows you can be!
Com amor,
