Jandira: I Know That My Redeemer Lives

Zone P-day and Zone Conference this week! It was an absolute blast. We played capture the flag for a few hours straight, and we also got zone t-shirts.

One really sweet thing that happened this week was that we visited 2 kids, Victor and Marcelly. It was been a long time that we have been teaching them and they seemed to be losing interest but out of nowhere we got a text from the this week. And when we went over to visit they had prepared everything themselves, set out chairs for us to sit, grabbed their Books of Mórmon, and had even but Oreos for us to eat. They were so excited to read the Book of Mórmon with us, and I pray that they can keep that enthusiasm!

We invited one of friends to be baptized for the 3rd time... he accepted the invitation to pray about it. I won't give all the details but it was a very funny moment.

Someone on Sunday shared a thought about the sacrament that I liked. We know that an important part of living the gospel in persevering until the end, but often this can seem like a difficult challenge! But every time we take the sacrament we get to Starr over again. And so this member said that they focus on one week at a time, until the next time they can take the sacrament and be clean again.

During our zone conference we sang together "I Know That My Redeemer Lives." I love this song. And my companion pointed out that this song is like a testimony, and as we sing it we are bearing testimony that we know the Savior lives.

I know that my Redeemer lives. I know that he lives me. I know that he has a plan and a purpose for me. This week I had a lot of small experiences that helped to grow my testimony that the Lord has a plan for me, and that I am where I am for a reason.

That does not mean it is always easy, but it does mean that I know even in the hard times there is a plan and a purpose.

I hope you all have a great week.

Sister Pinkney
