Arvore Grande: Pink, Pink, and More Pink

This week will be quick because we are having p-day with our district!!

Some highlights:
- Division with Sister Zuniga, and I completely misunderstood a women when she said that she was drunk. I thought she said she had a baby 😅 We also had a man in the street yell at us and told us to not knock on his door, showing us which house was his. We were very tempted afterwards to go knock on his door and talk to his family. Don't worry, we didn't.
- Division with Sister Owens, and we walked and hour and a half to try and visit a woman who ended up not being there. But it was great because we met some amazing people in the street.
- My one year mark on the mission came and went without much notice... but then my companion surprised me with a cake. Crazy to think a year has already past!
- Pizza with the Sisters ❣️
- A member girl was practicing her makeup skills and drew a face which apparently looks a lot like mine.
- We ran into two angry owls, they are absolutely adorable but they looked at us with murder in their eyes 👀
- We made cookies two times, and after lots of tries, I finally got them right!

This week was our ward conference. My companion sang in the choir and I played the piano. While I was playing the first song, I realized that they had turned on their air conditioning. And the paper was wobbling. And I'm was getting flash backs to a piano recital when I was younger and the music fell off the piano. And as I am finishing the first page it falls off the piano. I quickly secured the second page and was able to finish the song but I just about had a heart attack. My companion said she didn't notice so let's hope that also goes for the rest of the ward...

One day we were eating lunch in the mall and all of the sudden we start to notice that everyone there is wearing pink. We were trying to think about what it could be or if it was just a coincidence. We finally figured out that it was because of the Barbie movie. Now I'm going crazy and seeing pink everywhere!!

This week in our relief society class we were talking about the ability to change because of Christ. We read the scripture in Ether 12:27 that talks about how Christ can make our weak things strong. It really hit me in this moment. Christ can more than just help us overcome our weaknesses, He can help us make our weaknesses into our strengths.

I am really seeing that in my life, that my weaknesses are being transformed and I am so grateful for that.
