Arvore Grande: The Rose Theif
Hit the ground running this week with a blitz in Rio Acima with Sister Navido and Sister Wilde! Incredible missionaries with incredible testimonies
While we were together we taught a family about the Book of Mormon. One thing that the mom said has stayed in my mind. We asked her what would change in her life if she knew that the Book of Mormon is true. She said "if it's true i was deceived." Because her whole life she has believed that the Bible is the only true word of God.
That moment has opened my eyes a little more about just how different the Church of Jesus Christ and the Book of Mormon are. Espefially if people have spent their whole life's believing in something else. It takes an honest seeker of truth, someone who really wants to change, to have a heart open to accept these new ideas. And it is not everyone who has that open heart. But that is why we are here. We are the seekers of the seekers.
The title comes from a lunch we had with the members where the son got yelled at for picking a rose from the neighbors rose bush. He was trying to be romantic to give to his girlfriend but ir totally drove out the spirit!
We had an amazing multizone conference!
Went out to visit people with a member in the ward, Teresa! She is an incredible member missionary and is always ready to help us out. (Picture with her featuring one of the grandes Árvores de Árvore Grande)
For pday today we got together with our district and got to eat an amazing coxina of the Padaria Real. It is the most expensive coxina I have ever eaten but it was worth it. We played volleyball and had a picnic!!
More things happened but I'll spare you the details! Have a great week and keep the faith.
