Arvore Grande: Running From the Rain

For the first time in a long time it rained! We were out visiting people with a young woman in the ward and it started to be very windy. Like dust getting blown into our eyes. It started drizzling a little as well but we had visits planned in an area that is farther away. So we hopped in an Uber and had some good lessons there. But as we are getting ready to go home, it starts drizzling again. And our Uber will arrive in 13 minutes. So we are outside waiting when it starts pouring down rain. It was great because it had been a very hot day but it was also very unexpected.

We got to see the baptism of a girl that we taught last transfer before passing her off to missionaries closest. We also got to take our investigator there to watch the baptism. As he sat down someone asked him if he was baptized and he says "no, but I will be next week"! Whooo! Pray that it all goes well!!

I had the opportunity to see some of my past companions at leadership conference! It is always a joy to get to talk with them and hear how they are doing! I felt the spirit so strong in the conference and it is amazing to see that the Lord is hastening his work! It is humbling to be a part of this work and to see how the Lord can use us, even with our imperfections and weaknesses.

My companion and I have been focusing on teaching with the spirit, especially after an amazing district council that we had. But, even when we teach with the spirit, often times the people don't accept. But, we know that we are doing our part in sounding the warning. One lady we talked to had all the right questions about religion, questions that we have the answer to because of the Book of Mormon and the restored gospel of Jesus Christ! We taught and testified and the spirit was so strong. And yet, she still did not have interest in learning more.

But, it is experiences like this that just strengthen my testimony of the importance of this work. Not everyone will have interest in learning more or have interest in changing their life. But there are people who are looking for answers and looking for a path. And I know the Lord will lead us to them!

On another note, my district is awesome! I am learning a lot from each and everyone of them!
