Arvore Grande: And It Came to Pass

 Alma 5:27

And it came to pass that we lived after the manner of happiness.

Alma 26:8

Blessed be the name of our God; let us sing to his praise, yea, let us give thanks to his holy name, for he doth work righteousness forever.

I have nothing but gratitude for this week and for every week that I have to be here serving as a missionary. I remember telling my first companion in the mission that this was the happiest I had ever felt in my life, and that happiness has only grown with time! Don't get me wrong, the mission is not all sunshine and rainbows, but nevertheless, the Lord has blessed us so much that we can not help but rejoice!

Started the week off with a division with the incredible Sister Eiband! We saw some miracles in our area, especially one man who passed and said "Oi Elders!" He had met with the Elders in the past but after moving lost contact! We also had a super special lesson with some of the youth in the ward and their friends who are interested in the church! I was surprised by one of the girls grandmother's who was there with us. I was worried she would get in the way but she loved the message and later said that if this church was in her city that she would go there!

After spending the day with Sister Eiband I got to switch and be with Sister Wilde! Another amazing missionary! Our day was a little more difficult but we kept a positive attitude and we were able to find some new people!

I felt incredibly humbled after spending the day with these Sisters! They both have super strong testimonies and shine the light of the Savior so brightly. The reminded me that I need to trust more in the Savior as we are doing His work.

I was also thinking about how the gift of tongues is real because somehow I am speaking a language that I could not speak a little over a year ago!! That is a miracle.

We got a reference from a member to visit a road in our area and it seems like the missionaries had never gone there before! We found some awesome people!! It was an hour to walk there but totally worth and afterwards a member from another ward boutique us coxinha from a really nice bakery!!

We have been trying to get out of the house more which has included doing some of our video calls sitting on street benches. Well, during our zone meeting this week we decided to sit in front of a house that was close to our lunch that day. A little into the meeting we look at our picture on the call and there is a little boy poking his head over the fence. Five young boys proceed to come out of the house and start asking us a ton of questions. Even more when they found out I was American. They then brought their Mom out to meet us and she excepted to learn more about the church! What a miracle all because we got out of the house!

God is good all the time. The Book of Mormon is true!
