Arvore Grande: No Longer a Big Tree Boi

This week was full of some hard goodbyes! I left Árvore Grande (Big Tree). I was transfered and so I have a new area and new companion! What an adventure!!

I am now in Monte Serrat with Sister Quadros!! She is absolutely amazing and we are already learning so much together.

I had the opportunity to see Sister Oliveira one last time before she returned home!

This week we had some amazing lessons. Teaching lessons where the spirit is palpable is my favorite thing about being a missionary and this week was full of them!

We felt like we needed to teach one of our friends about tithing, and I was a little nervous about how she would react but it was just the right thing. My companion gave an especially powerful testimony and I think all of us were crying!

We also taught a lady who has been coming to church with her daughter for a long time but she doesn't feel like she has received a testimony from God about this church. We bore our testimonies and read with her in 3 Nephi 11.

The power and influence of the Holy Ghost is so real in our lives as we keep the commandments and follow the Savior! It is a feeling that I can't describe to you. You have to feel it for yourself!! I wish you were all here with me to feel this too!

It rained a TON, and we got stuck under a pavilion in the park where a bunch of old men had been playing cards. We struck up a hood conversation with them about the church.

Bishop asked us to share our testimonies on Sunday but we didn't realize that there was only one speaker after us and we left him 25 minutes. But no worries, this man talked for 30 minutes and the meeting went into overtime!

Have an amazing week!!

Sister Pinkney

One of the super awesome members of our ward made me a doll! 🥰

We are living with another companionship of Sisters and they are amazing, they made us a cake for when we arrived but we forgot to take a picture!
