Arvore Grande: October Already?

 A week full of adventures!

We had our multizone conference which is always an amazing experience. My favorite things is singing together with the other missionaries. There is so much power to have all those missionaries together in one place.

After the conference I got to go to Salto de Pirapora to do a division. There I was with Sister Vieira. Yes, you read that right. My companion in Sister Vieira, but there is another Sister Vieira in our zone now! It was great to get to know her better and an amazing experience to get to know that area.

Coming home was an interesting experience because apparently during the zone conference, the window to our bathroom broke! The Sisters think it was because of the strong wind, but in any case it has made taking a shower an interesting experience.

We also had interviews with President Walker. I won't say much, but it was just what I was needing. And, district council which I practically missed the whole thing during my interview 🥲

General Conference was also a spiritual highlight. Yes, there were a lot of things I was needing to hear. But, the whole time I kept thinking of our friends or members. I just hope that they were all able to watch cause there were several moments when I knew that what had been said was a direct response to the problems our friends are facing. It is such a blessing that we have profets and apostles to lead and guide us!

We watched one session with one of our friends and a member, and during the conference she turns to me and asked "what is a covenant?" It was an amazing opportunity to testify about baptism and we are planning to invite her to be baptized this week!! Pray for her!

And... one of my besties sang in the choir! Whoooo, I love you Victoria 😊 Now I have all these church hymns playing in my mind non stop.

The checkers board is of one of our friends. We are trying to help him, but he has a problem with drinking. A few weeks ago he found this checkers board in a park but it didnt have any pieces. The next time we went over it had one bottle cap. Consequently every time we went over it was a little fuller. When we went over to watch conference with their family we found the board completely finished. 🤔😑 Now that he has completed his goal we are going to give him a new goal to stop drinking.

We are seeing lots of miracles here. Some of our friends are progressing a ton, but unfortunately they went to travel for a few weeks.

But we have another woman who we met last week in Brigadeiro Tobias. This part of our area is far away and we don't have a lot of success there so we don't go very often. But while we were there for lunch with a member, we decided to go knock some doors. And we had very little success. But Sister Vieira and I told one another that it was so hard because there was someone super elect nearby. And then we knocked on Julianes door. Her mother in law let us in and we shared a message. The mother in the law was not interested at all but Juliane is super interested. We told here about conference and she watched and then solicited on the website to talk with missionaries. She ended up talking with another companionship of Sisters who sent her back to us!! 😊 It really is a miracle and we hope to see her progress!!

Anyway, we are not doing anything today for pday and that is why you are getting thus super long email! I love you all and have the best week!!
